Back to Reading....
So, I started reading "I, Elizabeth" by Rosalind Miles a few weeks ago, which is a six-hundred page book about Queen Elizabeth. It seems rather interesting and will be a great read but I am just not in the mood at the moment. Charles makes fun of me for starting books and then not finishing but some books just don't do it for me at the time. I just need to put them back on the shelf and take them out at a future date. I have not been reading for the past couple weeks. I have just been lazy, surfing the internet and talking on the phone mainly. However, I finally got motivation again when I decided to order two new books off Amazon the other day. I ordered "The Chosen" by Chaim Potok and "The Painted Veil" by W. Somerset Maugham. I am excited about both books and they look like quick reads which is what I am totally in the mood for. I saw "The Painted Veil" movie and loved it and "The Chosen" is just a great classic book that I must read while I still live in Jewish London. We have a few trips planned in the next month or two, so I hope to have lots of time to read them. But then again, I may have them read before then because I have plenty of time at night after Abby and Sam have gone to bed to do that. Tonight for instance, Charles is headed to the movies with friends so it is the perfect opportunity to read. Then you may ask, what am I doing blogging???

I'm glad you did some blogging before you got to your books. :) Always nice to read an update.. was there a movie The Chosen? I can't remember if I read the book or saw the movie. I think I read the book... way back in High School. I liked it but I imagine it would be even more impressive having lived in Israel and NYC. Hmm, sounds like I should reread it too. I'm definitely not a reader like you though. You inspire me. Thanks.
It seems my reading material has dwindled just a bit. I still like it but my pas-time has become crafts to beautify my home. "Beautify" is HIGHLY subjective mind you.
Hey, I'm not always ready to read either. Sometimes, I'm just too plain lazy, even if I have a great read waiting for me. It's been a while since I read "The Chosen", but I seem to recall enjoying it. Have fun reading!
