Wheatsheaf Award

At the beginning of April, Samantha was chosen for the prestigious Wheatsheaf award. This is an award given once a term to only one student from each class. It is a very big deal at school. The students are usually awarded at an assembly with all the parents and the award is given to them by the head teacher (the principal). Sammy is in a split Year 1/Year 2 class. She is the youngest in her class because she is with the older Year 1 students and the younger Year 2 students. All the students are already six or even seven year old in her class. Sammy is still only five yet she is not behind at all. She is excelling beyond or equal to the other students. This was the only class where the school had room for her back in August but I thought she would be fine because she is used to trying to keep up with Abby anyway. Sure enough she has done a fantastic job! She got an award and a special pin to wear on her cardigan. She was very proud. We are very proud of her as well...Way to go Sammy!

Can't believe how grown up she is! Looking so very cute and pleased. That's so awesome that she's doing so well in school!
