Blenheim Palace

So one day this week, I wanted to take the girls on an outing and a friend of mine invited us to come with her and her children to Blenheim Palace near Oxford. It is the ancestral home and birthplace of Winston Churchill. It is gorgeous and well worth the hour and a half drive. Upon entering Blenheim Palace the first thing you see is the above bridge and water. It is like a painting!

Abby was not with us that day. She went with Annie swimming and shopping instead.

This is why I absolutely LOVE living in England. Our summers in Chicago were great, spending our days at the pool but I don't really miss it. We may not get as much sun but I love trying to decide which castle we will see and driving through the beautiful English countryside to get there. The girls always have such a nice time imagining the life of a princess or learning about someone from history. Hooray for England!
