Sushi Woes....

Seven of the world's top Sushi Samurais will be under ONE roof, competing for the 2007 Sushi Award here in London on October 23rd (just thinking about it makes my mouth water and my eyes cross). Each samurai creates a sushi dish for the event and serves it to the audience, who along with Mr. Masayoshi Kazato, Vice President of the All Japan Sushi Association, vote on the best dish. Each samurai has a proven reputation for producing the highest quality sushi and is representative of the BEST sushi talent in his respective country. For a mere £60, I (ME) could go and sample this sushi (eating all I want) and vote. Now for the depressing part (brace yourselves), I have NO ONE to go with. Yes, it is true. I married a man who does not do sushi! Charles looks at sushi and his top lip curls up and his nose wrinkles like a kid who has just been handed a plate of brussel sprouts. Any friends I have that are "into sushi" are really only into eating california rolls and nothing too exotic. My ONE friend who is as much of a sushi fanatic as me, will be in China in October. It kills me to miss this, but I can't go alone. Oh why? Why must I suffer so much? Naoki, Andrei, Noriyoshi, Masashi, Jose and Jeff as well as the two surprise sushi samurais, I just want to say how sorry I am. It deeply saddens me to abandon you at such an important and crucial time. I will miss you, more than you know....

Ha ha ha! That's hilarious. Good luck, wish I was there - I'd totally go with you.
