Checkin' Out Chicago and Enjoying the New House

Two weeks after we arrived in Chicago we went downtown to explore the city. Here is Sammy in front of the Sears' Tower, our first stop.

Looking up to the top of the Sears' Tower. It is once again the tallest building in America.

It was so nice that the condo we stayed in until we found a house had a pool. It helped us deal with this new thing called "the sun." It also gave the girls and I something to do. We went to the pool almost daily for a while.

And finally, out of temporary housing and into our new, empty house! (We should have removed the green bins before we took the picture.)

The back of the house and our HUGE yard! Fortunately, it is all fenced in...

Our new treehouse and swing set!

That's all from us, consider yourself updated....

Wow! What are you going to do with all that space?!! I think I might feel lost in that giant (and very beautiful) house! Guess you'll have to have more little Farnsworth's to fill it up!

And you have your own little park right out your back door! (Great view from the master bedroom, btw). I can't even imagine... I hope you like to do yard work. :) It definitely will be a transition when/if we ever make it to the suburbs.

In the meantime, we'll (continue to) live vicariously through you. Congrats!!

Holy crud! What a fantastic house!! So... Michael wants to know if you're going to invest in a riding mower?
I am so excited for you guys - seriously, you're livin' large! Being re-introduced to the sun was fun for us last year too. But you know, I still miss England. Just don't send me back until I no longer need a buggy!

OH MY GOSH- your house is amazing!! That kitchen is to die for. And the yard really reminds me of our garden here..oh wait, we don't have a garden. We miss you guys and wish you would move back. You're already legends in the ward. A sunday hasn't gone by without Peggy or someone mentioning the "Farnsworths". Yes, feel the exact same about the Portland- it was like a 5 star hotel we didn't want to leave.
