NEW DRESSES

Sammy in her new dress with the newest member of our family "Zacky" the horse (named by Abby). The girls feed him, ride him and say goodnight and goodbye to him whenever they leave. He is a good horse.

New Outfit????

Abby is very proud that she can write her name. However, when you ask her to spell it, she says, "A-B-B-B-Y."

This is our marshmellow creation. If you are looking for a fun activity, try this. It is just bamboo skewers, marshmellows and toothpicks.

HARVEST POW WOW

Fancy feather dancers

Abby was fascinated by the Native Americans and their dancing. She wouldn't let me look at any of the stalls because she just wanted to watch them dance and listen to the drums.

MOWING THE LAWN

When we left for the Harvest Pow Wow, Charles was mowing the lawn. When we got back several hours later, Charles was STILL mowing the lawn! Granted, it has been two months since the grass has been cut but five hours of mowing is ridiculous! Needless to say, we went to Home Depot when he finished and looked at riding lawn mowers....

That is a serious lawn. I think the riding mower would be worth the investment. I love the picture of Abby with her name written! I'll have to try the marshmallow project with the boys. Looks like Chicago is keeping you all busy.

How fun to see you guys out and about having fun! The science museum and the farm look awesome -- like good ol' English outings back in the day. Especially love the tractors and trains. Very cool! We miss you guys. The lawn mowing is HILARIOUS! Poor Charles!! Hopefully the rider mower will help.

Wow! Looks like there are LOTS of great things to do with the kiddies! And they sure look like they had fun.

PS. Thanks for reminding me why it's so nice not to have a yard. :)

PPS. This is Mindi, not Colby

Can we come over and make one of those marshmallow creations with you?! Looks like you guys have really been out there enjoying the sights. Yeah, riding mower sounds like a good idea...

Thanks Joyce for writing about how long it takes to mow the lawn, Brian has now decided that he no longer envies your house. Maybe we don't really want a big yard as we look for our new house!!!!
