Disneyland Paris

The girls had two weeks off for Easter break, so the second week we took them to Disneyland Paris. We had such a great time! We had amazing weather, 25 degrees Celsius! We were cooking especially since we packed for colder weather. We told them a couple of weeks before going that we were taking them to Disneyland Paris. We have never taken them to any kind of Disneyland before so they didn't believe us. They thought it was some kind of sick joke.

The food in the park was nothing extraordinary just hamburgers etc. They did sell sandwiches on baguettes which was nice. Of course, it was all ridiculously overpriced but that's how it goes in these places. We went to a French supermarket and bought loads of French pastries and delicacies for breakfast. Charles got a little too excited at the enormous cheese counter and bought a whole kilo of raclette cheese. That's a lot of cheese!

The parade was a big highlight of the first day for Alex. She could not have been more excited to see all her favourite movie characters. She would shout out their names over and over trying to get them to notice her as they passed by.

Alex really got overly excited when this float appeared!

Abby and Sammy were obsessed with going on every roller coaster they could. Unfortunately, Space Mountain was closed but there were plenty of other fast ones. I quickly realized how old I am. I cannot handle those things like I used to. I was walking like a granny when I get off of Thunder Mountain. My back can't take it anymore. Charles had to take them on all the rest of the roller coasters after that...

On the second day, we went over to Disney Studios. There are lots of rides there too including the Ratatouille ride which is found no where else in the world but here. It was very well done. We saw lots of shows similar to ones you might see at Universal Studios.

While Abby, Sammy and I went on some roller coaster, Alex got to meet the biggest star of the park, Mickey Mouse. Since we have been back, I think she has told everyone she knows about meeting him.

Here is Abby, Sammy and I on this ride. Of course you can't see us...

We were absolutely exhausted after two days at Disney but very happy too.

Of course you will have to go back when Sadie is older and can remember the experience and perhaps the last time for Abby as she will be old enough to head off from home!!! OMGosh!!!
