Tourists for a Day

This past Saturday we were tourists in London for a day. We had to show some people from Charles' firm around London for recruiting. We had a budget of £200 ($400) to spend. I wanted to go to a West End Show or some exclusive, elegant restaurant. But the associate and his wife had a five-month old baby that they refused to leave with a babysitter. So they decided they wanted to go on the London Bus Tour and out for lunch. I must admit, I was very disappointed about the whole thing. My grand dreams of how I would spend the £200 were crushed. I felt the firm owed me another fabulous night out and that this was my chance and now I could not even take advantage of it. So, I reluctantly went on the bus tour. It turned out to be a really nice day though and was actually a nice excuse for a photo op around London. Abby and Sam loved riding on the top of the open double-decker buses. We also had sushi for lunch so that helped alter my mood as well. I guess it was a good time had by all, after all...
